Whilst we already had a good health and safety culture at Rayburn Tours, we felt that, without in-house specialism, retaining the services of a local Health and Safety Consultant would help us to ensure that we were meeting our legal obligations concerning our workforce and keeping abreast of legislation updates. We scoured local consultancy businesses and came across Marpal’s Competent Person Scheme, which we believe provides just the right level of support. Following a full audit of our existing systems and in-depth discussion (without the health and safety jargon!) with John, we implemented recommended additions to our processes and fully reviewed and updated our Health and Safety Policy and Handbook. Now, we rest easy, in the knowledge that we are doing everything within our power to keep our staff safe in the workplace.
