Adrian Heads the Fire Safety Department and has a wealth of experience in evaluating fire strategies, agreeing fire safety designs in buildings and carrying out fire risk assessments. After obtaining a BSc (Hons) Degree in Building Surveying, Adrian later obtained Chartered status and is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
Adrian has the NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety & Risk Management and is also a member and registered fire risk assessor with the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE). Adrian has carried out Fire Risk Assessments for most types of non-domestic buildings, carried out fire compartmentation surveys prepared Fire Evacuation Strategies for high risk premises such as care homes and leisure facilities and also advises on fire safety precautions/strategies/means of escape during the design development phases on projects within industry sectors such as residential Care Homes (apartment blocks).
As a Chartered Building Surveyor, Adrian’s knowledge extends beyond fire safety as he also has extensive knowledge of building types, their construction and potential hazards that could affect people; in a previous role, Adrian was the Principal Building Control Surveyor leading a team of surveyors for a Local Authority.
