As a key Sponsor, Marpal are delighted to announce our commitment to promoting and improving safety and health within the Care Sector by attending and speaking at the forthcoming NASHiCS forums at both Cardiff and Edinburgh. The events are being held on 17th May and 12th June respectively.
This follows the success at the NASHiCS National Health and Safety Conference in September last year. Adrian Gouldin (Head of Fire Safety Services at Marpal) as a key speaker, discussed the key components to developing a robust and effective fire evacuation strategy within Care Homes.
At the forthcoming events, Marpal have been invited to discuss the health and safety considerations when having refurbishment works undertaken. The aim of these seminars will be to inform Care Providers of the key issues, and to raise awareness to ensure that appropriate systems and procedures are in place to protect residents, staff and contractors. These talks will touch on CDM; asbestos; fire precautions; security/segregation; access/egress; tools/materials; communication; logistics etc. However, they are not intended to be inclusive of all potential problems, but will address the key fundamentals.
These events are a great opportunity to be updated about health and safety issues relevant to the Care Sector. The conferences aim to promote and share best practice through expert speakers and interactive workshops.
